College of Arts and Sciences welcomes outstanding cadre of new tenure-track faculty
The College of Arts and Sciences welcomes outstanding cadre of new tenure-track faculty in and across dozens of disciplines and academic departments within the College who will contribute significantly to IU Bloomington’s intellectual vitality, while providing depth and breadth to the campus’ teaching mission and research enterprise. This cohort of faculty either start this fall semester, or joined the College last spring.
The College of Arts and Sciences at Indiana University Bloomington welcomes more than 50 new tenured or tenure-track faculty in and across dozens of disciplines and academic departments who will contribute significantly to IU Bloomington’s intellectual vitality, while providing depth and breadth to the campus’ teaching mission and research enterprise. This cohort of faculty either start this fall semester, or joined the College last spring.
“I am delighted to welcome to campus this outstanding cadre of faculty representing a diverse array of disciplines, who will drive new research and creative activity as well as foster teaching innovation at IU,” said Rick Van Kooten, Executive Dean of the College. “Our faculty are scholars preeminent in and across their respective fields, and are dedicated teachers and mentors to students.”
College faculty are groundbreaking researchers and dedicated teachers and mentors to students. With an array of options, opportunities, and experiences to choose from, students are able to prepare for fulfilling work as well as a meaningful life. More than 90 percent of College of Arts and Sciences undergraduates report a successful career outcome six months after graduation.
