Initially, Rachel Bayler (’24) didn’t think she wanted to attend a big university. As an upperclassman in high school, she looked at smaller schools that would have the same number of students as her high school, believing that that was what she was wanted. But as COVID-19 lockdowns began, she began considering the opportunities only available to her at larger universities.

“I started thinking about being able to do what I want,” Rachel said, “and having the opportunities that IU would present, as a larger institution, especially the College. To be able to go somewhere that would give me the opportunities, the networking capabilities, to build an undergraduate experience that I would not only enjoy but also be proud of, while creating a foundation for what I seek to do professionally.”
