The College of Arts and Sciences at Indiana University Bloomington has released its first-ever impact report, a landmark publication that highlights the transformative power of donor generosity and its profound impact on students, faculty, and the College’s academic mission.

The report serves as a testament to the College’s ongoing commitment to excellence in education, research, and public service. It showcases a litany of recent key achievements, including:

  • Student success: More than $1.07 million was awarded in undergraduate scholarships, providing critical support for hundreds of students.
  • Faculty excellence: $331 million in research grants has been awarded to faculty since 2018, with named professorships and endowments fueling groundbreaking discoveries.
  • Career preparation: More than $150,000 was distributed in internship scholarships, opening doors for students to gain hands-on professional experience through the College’s Walter Center for Career Achievement.
  • Global learning: The College ranked 1st in the Big Ten and 4th nationally for study abroad participation, with students studying in 24 different countries.

“The incredible stories of success shared within the report are a direct reflection of the enduring power of philanthropy,” said Rick Van Kooten, Executive Dean of the College. “Year after year, our donors enable the College to remain a leader in education and research, and we’re deeply grateful to everyone who has helped make these achievements possible.”
