Expert Bio
Xiaojing Liao is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at the IU Luddy School of Informatics, Computing and Engineering in Bloomington. Her research interests include data-driven system security analysis, cyber threat intelligence, privacy compliance and enforcement.
She has published papers on leading system security venues. She co-authored the children’s STEM book “Lorie in Cybersecurity Wonderland: The Fun of Camping & Mobile Security.” She is an associate editor of the IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, and general co-chair of the ACM Conference on Computer and Communications Security. Her work has been covered in prominent media outlets, and she has been the recipient of the NSF CAREER award, Meta Privacy-Enhancing Technology Research Award and Indiana University Trustees Teaching Award.
