Dr. Susana Mariscal and the Strengthening Indiana Families team were recently honored as field innovators by The Clayton Christensen Institute. Over the past five years, they have worked diligently to enhance support and resources for families through Family Resource Centers (FRCs). These centers function as welcoming, comprehensive hubs, offering services such as family-friendly events, support groups, peer recovery coaching, career guidance, and help with enrolling in public assistance programs. Initially funded by a grant, the Family Resource Centers will continue to receive support from the Indiana Department of Child Services, enabling further expansion.
