Make spring a little sweeter with free pancakes, syrup harvesting stations, and a silent auction during this year’s annual Maple Syrup Day at Bradford Woods!
On Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., celebrate the spirit of giving and the season of syrup with a day of family fun.
“With more than 700 people attending our most recent event and visitors traveling from across the state, it’s become a celebration that connects not just our local community, but the wider region as well,” Chad Simmons, program director at Bradford Woods, said.
During the event, Bradford Woods is open to the community, which provides a chance for both returning and new attendees to make memories.
“My favorite part of Maple Syrup Day is being able to open Bradford Woods to the community and give them the opportunity to come back to The Woods again,” Harrison Whitney, facilitation specialist and Maple Syrup Day coordinator at Bradford Woods, said. “It’s special whenever we see guests return who were here with a school program, one of our summer camps, or a retreat held here.”
Enjoy the outdoors and follow the journey of maple syrup from tree to table through three syrup stations (identify, tap, and boil) where visitors can learn how to identify maple trees, tap trees to collect sap, and how to boil the sap and turn it into syrup.
For the team at Bradford Woods, there’s a lot of planning leading up to Maple Syrup Day. From preparing the sap to welcoming hundreds of guests, it’s a reminder of how much energy and care goes into creating an experience that the community looks forward to every year.
“I think it shows how powerful shared traditions can be, and how Maple Syrup Day celebrates more than just food,” Simmons said. “It also celebrates culture, place, and connection.”
After a syrupy sweet experience, enjoy a free pancake breakfast with jumbo cinnamon rolls available for purchase. A silent auction for Bradford Woods will follow.
Interested in sponsoring the event? Bradford Woods is looking for local organizations and businesses to sponsor Maple Syrup Day. Participants can sponsor at the Amber ($250) or Gold ($500) levels.
