Academics can be a source of stress for most students attending university. Oftentimes, students find themselves falling behind or simply not enjoying their time in college due to a lack of knowledge of coping strategies and cost-effective mental health resources.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) offers all IU Indianapolis students a variety of psychological services including one-on-one and group counseling, workshops and more from licensed professionals. CAPS ultimately serves as a confidential resource for all students seeking mental health and interpersonal violence prevention services.

Hear from your peers

Group counseling services provided by CAPS aim to uplift and advocate for students through conversation, education and creativity. See what students had to say about their experiences in group counseling:

“I love group and am so glad that it’s continued to be offered at IU Indianapolis.”

“It was good to know that I wasn’t alone and that others could relate and give advice to overcome things.”

“Being able to hear from others and see what they create is very refreshing.”
