Indiana University Northwest Chancellor Ken Iwama has been named to the Board of Directors for One Region, a local civic leadership coalition that strives to grow the population, attract and retain talent and increase household income in Northwest Indiana.
“We are thrilled to have Ken join our board at a critical time for Northwest Indiana,” said Matt Wells, president and CEO of One Region. “His energy, relationships and forward-looking vision as the leader of one of the region’s most important institutions of higher learning will serve our organization well as we forge ahead to bring new talent, ideas and change to Northwest Indiana.”
One Region’s membership is comprised of 40-plus CEOs, presidents, managing partners and owners of many of the largest employers in Lake, Porter and La Porte counties representing the financial, IT, construction, utility, media, education and retail sectors.
“I am truly honored to join this network of like-minded executive leaders, who envision growth, partnership and prosperity for our One Region,” Iwama said. “With its many and varied attributes and resources, Northwest Indiana is well positioned for the future; a future I am honored to help advance through serving on the One Region board.”
Iwama’s three-year term is effective immediately.
